How much does a furnace tune up cost in Calgary?
A standalone furnace tune up costs $169.95, or $129.95 with any duct cleaning package. Unlike other companies, Advanpro’s qualified furnace technicians perform tune ups in a separate visit. During your service our technician will thoroughly inspect your furnace, flag any issues, and discuss the results with you.
How often do furnaces need to be tuned up?
Your furnace should be tuned up every two years. We also recommend duct cleaning every one or two years. Regular tune ups extend furnace life and reduce the likelihood of sudden failure.
What does a furnace tune up include?
As part of our furnace tune up, we do a 36-point inspection, including the following checks: motor health, safety systems, gas pressure, temperature rise, cleaning vacuum ports, ignition system components, and inspecting the heat exchanger.
How often should furnace filters be changed?
You should change standard 1” thick furnace filters every 3 months. With our Ultimate Tune Up Package, we’ll leave you a two-year supply of furnace filters — all you need for optimal operation between tune ups.
What are the signs a furnace needs to be repaired?
The following issues are signs of a serious problem:
- Furnace runs but makes little or no heat
- Pilot-light doesn’t light, on multiple tries
